Sedation Dentistry

With sedation dentistry at Sealy Dental Center you'll never be afraid to visit the dentist again!

Imagine sleeping soundly through your entire dental procedure and waking up refreshed, with little or no memory of the visit. It works, and has worked for countless patients who used to be apprehensive of going to the dentist.

Facts about Sedation Dentistry

It is absolutely safe. Dr. ***** will give you a small pill to take one hour prior to treatment. If you choose, he can    give more pills once you get to the office to get the desired sedation effect. But Dr. ***** has found after several         years of sedation dentistry, that I.V. Sedation is easier and just as safe as oral sedation.

Not all dentists can provide I.V. sedation. The Texas Dental Association only issues permits to trained dentists     who have met the requirements of special training in advanced cardiac life support, EKG, pulse oximeter and         blood pressure monitoring.

Many times Dr. ***** will have an anesthesiologist provide the sedation at our office because the patient requires     greater sedation or has a more complicated medical history.  Restoring your mouth to optimum health is one of     our goals, but your safety is our #1 priority.

Most patients report having little or no memory of the experience, including sounds or smells.
Complex or time-consuming treatments that often require many appointments to complete can be done in as         little as one with sedation dentistry at Sealy Dental Center by reducing the fatigue of extended dental treatments.

People who have difficulty getting numb will find that sedation dentistry eliminates this problem.
